Golden Phase not liking it loose at Lingfield
Golden Phase went to Lingfield Park's turf track on Saturday for a ten furlong contest, the opening race on an evening card, and despite very strong market support into odds on favouritism she wasn't able to return with a win. Jockey Pat Cosgrave reported that the ground had been overwatered and this meant it didn't suit the filly at all, with her very good race record on good to firm going. Hopefully another opportunity on fast summer ground will arise soon for Golden Phase, who seems fit and well even after fading into an eight length third in Saturday's race.
