Waterloo Sunset given an impossible task
At Kempton on Wednesday evening Waterloo Sunset faced a fairly wide draw and apprentice jockey Alex Jary was only able to get him across into a detached position off the back of the field as they faced a complete circuit. From here he was still a little adrift along the back straight, so coming from so far back he had much too much to do at the business end of the twelve furlongs, By half way up the straight he still had more in front than behind, but he stayed on very strongly to thread his way through and claim fourth by the post. With a favourable draw and a more forward position he can hopefully return to winning ways, as he remains in very good order.
