Denis and owner Chris van Hoorn were very pleased to see their star filly Nell Quickly take the step up to Group 3 company in style. She ran a fine race and finished a very close up third to earn her first black type line. Two things in particular went against her : the ground being on the fast side, which wouldn't have suited her, and the slowing pace set up front which meant that the race became something of a sprint to the line, which didn't play to her strength either. With conditions to suit she has every chance of winning at this level very soon.
