Bobby Kennedy back in the frame in extended trip at Chelmsford
Champion Oisin Murphy gave a super ride to Bobby Kennedy over a mile and three quarters at Chelmsford yesterday evening. Reopposing Sir Mark Prescott's Lindwall, who had beaten him about sixteen lengths at Lingfield in September, this time Bobby Kennedy was just passed in the final hundred yards of the race by the odds on favourite, who outstayed him to prevail by a half length and a nose at the post. The option to switch back to a mile and a half next time would seem to be the right way forward for Bobby Kennedy, and owner Imelda Coakley was delighted to see her Bobby's Kitten gelding get right back into form under his fine pilot.
