NELL QUICKLY WINS FOR A FOURTH TIME THIS YEAR
To brighten such a gloomy and drenching autumn day at Newmarket, nothing better than an emphatic win for Chris van Hoorn's Nell Quickly in a competitive middle distance handicap. She underlined her stable star status under a lovely ride from Oisin Murphy, as she comfortably came clear inside the final three hundred yards of the Rowley Mile course. Oisin had found a good midfield position to give her plenty of cover tracking the front four, and brought her with a winning run onto the stand side of the field - coping very well with the undulations and the going - as Nell strode clear to win readily by two lengths. She has now recorded four wins from her six races this season, with the other two runs being very close up second places. This Newmarket race had been earmarked for her after firm ground meant she could not take up her previous entry at Doncaster, and there will hopefully be plenty more middle distance targets for this lovely filly next year.
