Wide draw does for Iskaheen's chances at Bath
In the first race on Bath's card yesterday Iskaheen was drawn very wide in a very competitive field, so that jockey Charlie Bishop had to use up a lot of energy to get him across into a prominent racing position early on. This meant that at the business end of the contest he was unable to run on, and he could not live with the finish of a well handicapped winner, finishing back in fifth place and beaten a little under five lengths. Hopefully he will be able to resume his rapid progress next time, with a little more luck of the draw.
