SECOND WIN FOR LISDARRAGH
Much to the delight of Denis and owners Una and Peter, Lisdarragh recorded an emphatic win from a large field at Chelmsford on Saturday evening. Coming back in trip to ten furlongs and taking to the polytrack surface superbly well, a fine ride from his regular pilot Harry Burns saw Lisdarragh stretch away to win comfortably inside the final furlong. Harry held the gelding up in the last four in the early part of the race, but after seven furlongs he began a forward move and then swept around the outside of the field turning in, and carried his momentum into the straight with a sustained surge towards the post. Lisdarragh was not winning out of turn, as his series of second places confirmed his consistency and very good order. Now that he has returned to winning ways there is hopefully more to come on the all weather tracks in the near future.
