Sonnetina finds the Brighton ground getting too firm for her
Following up from her last two placed runs, Sonnetina was well supported for her run over 9 furlongs plus at Brighton, but she just found that the drying days had changed the turf on the Sussex track so that she didn't let herself down onto it fully at the business end of the race. Mark Crehan noted that the good to firm ground had not seen her run to her best this time, and she finished sixth, beaten as many lengths, after Contingency Fee had broken clear to seal his seventh win for the McEntees.
